Exploration Phase: Tumble seemed to have stood on the water for a few seconds and then flipped onto his back. The meal worm went to the edge of the cup. Matt said that it breathes through it's side so perhaps it moved to the edge of the cup in order to flip to its side, therefore being able to breathe. Margaret was very nervous of drowning her little friend, so Tumble was in the water no longer than 10 seconds; she did not want it to be unable to breathe.
Hypothesis: Yes the mealworm will float.

We concluded that meal worms do, in fact, float.
